Hi, We are Becky & Jan, and welcome to Oh Happy Creative!

Based in the coastal town of Leigh-on-Sea, we run creative workshops for adults and children from the local area, Southend, and the wider Essex area. Each class is designed to spark inspiration and encourage imagination in a fun, laid-back atmosphere.

Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced creative, there’s something for everyone at Oh Happy Creative. Our team is passionate about nurturing creativity and helping others tap into their potential.

We facilitate evening workshops for adults, while children can join in on weekends or during school holidays. We also run workshops for mindfulness, birthday parties, Sip & Paint, and Pimp Your Plant Pots.

I cannot recommend Becky and her incredible workshops enough! My daughter Lottie was booked onto the kids Halloween class and loved every second. Becky is so observant by making sure all the little ones are happy and have everything they need to get creative

Attended a really lovely parent and child workshop- the resources were beautiful and plentiful and there was so much choice for the children. Perfect activity for my 3 year old and she was occupied for the whole hour.

We’ve done a few workshops now and my children absolutely love it there. They are always so excited to go and have enjoyed all the different activities. Becky is so good with the children and is able to cater to their ages, abilities and interests. We will definitely be back!

Well we couldn’t have a website with everything fully booked so we’ve opened up a new workshop just for the older children during half term!
There are currently spaces left!
Our teens and tweens will have a fun packed 2 hours decorating their own tote bags with fabric paints/pens, cricut vinyl and iron on patches! Then we will be making bracelets and badges 🤩 head to the website to get booked on!

I think I may have teared up a little bit after reading this lovely review this evening 🥹
Tuesday’s are crazy busy, I start my normal work at 8am, take my lunch at 3.30 to drive to the workshop, then do After School Club followed by Youth Club and I get home at nearly 9pm after picking my daughter up. But this makes it all worth it 🧡
We love our little workshop and everyone that steps foot in it!

Oh Happy Monday 🧡

With all of our workshops we practice first. It’s a great part of our job and we love to do it. We get to play, whether it’s coming up with ideas for children or adults it’s all part of the creative process.

This morning whilst most people were probably in bed, I was collecting leaves from my garden and then trying out printing them. Forgetting that all my good paper was at the workshop, so my notepad had to do 😬 still looks pretty though 🧡

It’s very nearly 2 years since I opened Oh Happy Creative. How quickly time flies when you are living your dream of having what you’ve wanted for so long 🧡
There have been tears along the way (mainly from exhaustion 😂) but there have been so many more smiles, laughs, fun times, people met and new friendships made that it overrides all of the harder times.

It’s grown from being just me to not only having Matilda help but to having the wonderful Jan as my partner in craft and all things Oh Happy Creative 🧡

It was our monthly Carry on Creating get together yesterday, always a thoroughly enjoyable evening with wonderful ladies creating together 🧡 everyone brings their own craft with them and we just chill, drink tea, eat biscuits, chat away and craft. We had lots of different crafts last night from embroidery to mosaics and doll making to jewellery making!
We even tried out Sue’s amazing magnifying glasses (so good, I ordered some).
Thanks ladies for a lovely evening! I now have a list of podcasts to get me through a few weeks too! (Oh and I got parked on my road last night…so didnt have to speed walk home 😂)

Big Wow from Jan and I this evening. We are overwhelmed by the amount of bookings we have had for October half term. 5 out of 8 of our sessions have sold out and there’s only a handful of spaces left on those with availability. When we launched these on Sunday evening we only expected bookings to trickle in, but you have totally surprised us 🧡
