Our Little Workshop
where being creative
is fun...
Our story began when ...
Oh Happy Creative has been a dream for many many years and in 2023 after working in the film industry for 6 years I knew things were not going great (writer/actor strikes caused mayhem pretty much) so I started to run creative workshops once again from a small coffee shop not far from me in the evenings. I then found out that the small shop next door was available and I was sold! I knew I wanted my own space where I could run workshops from on a regular basis. In October 2023 I finally got the keys and opened Oh Happy Creative. Just five months later and I was made redundant - I am so glad I opened the shop when I did! I still work a full-time job as well as run Oh Happy, but I am hoping that will change very soon - keep everything crossed! In October 2024 Jan entered the workshop and asked about running her own workshops. We hit it off and I haven't let her go. Jan has joined the team and I could not be happier, she is wonderful!
We love what we do
What is not to love? We get to create every day! Some days it may be a planning day - buying materials, testing out a craft for an upcoming party, or researching new ideas. Other days we will be busy running those workshops we have spent time planning.
We put our all into each workshop, to make sure every person has a wonderful time.
Both Jan and I have used creativity for times in our lives when it has been particularly hard. It has helped reduce anxiety, heal us and taken our minds off stressful situations. We truly believe that taking time out to be creativity is beneficial to everyone, old and young.

We love how much the local community have helped us grow. We have gone from a tiny workshop to knocking through to the space next door in the past 2 years.
We have so many ideas for the future and once I reduce those full time working days, the plans will become reality. Just stick with us.

Fun Facts
Becky loves Macrame! Something she does mainly in the summer, in the garden when it's warm! You will find her making dresses, wall hangings and plant holders.
Jan is the Origami Queen! Give her some paper and she can pretty much make anything she sets her mind to. It's incredible!
