Winter Wonderland – Gel Plate Printmaking Workshop

Step into a Winter Wonderland and explore the magic of the season through colour, texture, sparkle through gel plate printmaking.

In this relaxed and creative two-hour workshop, we’ll take inspiration from beautiful winter landscapes, frosty textures and the changing colours of the season. We’ll experiment with natural and seasonal materials to create layers, patterns and atmospheric prints – including tinsel and snowflake handmade stencils to create wonderful shimmering marks and textures!

You’ll discover how simple shapes, textures and found materials can be transformed into beautiful one-off prints using a gel plate. We’ll explore layering, colour, mark-making and composition, building up a collection of unique prints as you experiment.

Whether you’re new to gel plate printing or have enjoyed it before, this workshop is all about slowing down, experimenting and enjoying the creative process – with a little winter sparkle along the way.
